Two years ago today Kristine & I tied the knot at Smugglers Cove on the Oregon coast. It was so much fun! Every time I think of that day I can't help but smile. The kind of smiling that hurts your cheeks. On a Wednesday in May we made it official on a little cliff overlooking the Pacific.
Kristine & I were good friends for about three years before we started dating. Every Thursday I used to pick her up from work and we'd grab lunch at Noodles & Co, then head to Costco for samples. It was the best. Whenever I spent time with Kristine I noticed I could always be myself. I didn't have to "walk on egg shells" or act like someone I was not. I could be real with her and she accepted me with no judgement.
Re-post from January 10, 2014. This interview is my favorite post yet! Happy birthday Corey.
Corey Drayton is a Director of Photography based in Portland where he is quietly building his film empire. Corey and I first met in Boulder, CO. He was hanging at the late Trident Coffee Shop and Book Store on Pearl Street, editing a video on his MacBook. Naturally, I introduced myself and asked what he's working on. Over a year later we serendipitously reconnected on a shoot in Portland. Corey and I have been buds ever since.
This last weekend I was lucky enough to sit with a few good friends and attend the Timbers match on a beautiful sunny day in Portland. As I was walking out the door I impulsively grabbed our Fujifilm X-T1 and decided to document my afternoon at Providence Park. The photos that were captured are pretty typical of a Timbers home game. Unfortunately my camera battery was low and I did not shoot a lot. Here's a handful of stills that I liked. Hopefully there will be more photos (and wins) to come.
